With Priority Call, you know that a call is important before you answer.
You can even mark numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls, and
when you hear that particular ring, you can choose to ignore the call.
Terms and Conditions
Priority Call works with a Priority Call list that you create and you control.
Dialing the Priority Call activation code will give you detailed instructions which guide
you through your Priority Call service options. The instructions will help you add or delete
numbers, review your list or turn your Priority Call service on and off.
You can have up to six numbers on your Priority Call list and you can change the numbers on
your list at any time. All numbers on your list require the area code and telephone number.
The numbers on your list must be within the Custom Calling PLUS service area.
You can turn Priority Call on and off at any time. When Priority Call is on, calls from the
numbers on your Priority Call list will have a Priority ring --- a short-long-short pattern.
When Priority Call is turned off, calls from the numbers on your Priority Call list will
ring normally.
If customer has Call Waiting and is on the phone, the customer will hear a priority Call
Waiting tone consisting of three beeps when any priority caller is trying to get through.
Calls from telephone numbers not on the Priority Call list will produce a normal ring or
a normal call waiting signal.
Priority Forward and Call Block will take precedence over Priority Call if the same
telephone number appears on more than one screening list.
The only numbers that can be used with Priority Call must be within the same or a
compatible Custom Calling Plus Central Office.
If a customer subscribes to Priority Call and Voice Messaging, the customer can let
non-priority Calls forward to Voice Messaging while completing the call with the
priority caller.
Call Waiting will not work while a customer is updating a Priority Call list.
If the customer subscribes to Call Waiting and Priority Call and the customer receives a
call from a caller on their Priority Call list while they're on a call, the customer will
receive a priority call waiting tone consisting of three beeps instead of the normal call
waiting tone.
If a customer subscribes to Priority Call and Priority Forward and the customer receives
a call from a caller on the Priority Forward list, the call will only ring at the remote
location. The call will not have the special ring pattern at the remote location.
If the customer subscribes to Priority Call and Priority Forward and the caller is not
on the Priority Forward list, the call will ring with the priority call ring pattern at
the customer's location.
If the customer subscribes to Call Block and Priority Call features and the caller is on
both lists, the Call Block feature will override the Priority Call feature and the call
will be rejected.
