You are now signed on to the voice mail system. Voice Mail automatically gives you the total number of unheard messages in your voice mailbox (by mailbox, if you have multiple), and then plays the unheard messages, followed by skipped and archived messages. If you have no messages, you will hear, "You have no unheard messages," followed by "Main Menu."
You can bypass listening to your messages by pressing *, which will also take you back to the Main Menu.
Back to TopEnhanced Voicemail can include any or all of the following features: Single or multiple mailboxes (up to nine); Distinctive Ring; Text Notification; Zero Transfer; Combined Home and Wireless Voicemail (requires a Cincinnati Bell Wireless phone).

Back to TopPrior to ringing, your main greeting will prompt the caller to select a single digit number, 1-9, that's been assigned specifically to you. You know whom the call is for by the distinctive ringing pattern assigned to your extension.
Back to TopYes! You can add Distinctive Ring to your Enhanced Voicemail by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount. If available in your area, you will see an option to add Distinctive Ring to your Enhanced Voicemail service.

You can select a different ring pattern for each of your extension mailboxes by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount. Click on the "Setup" button for each mailbox you wish to change, preview the available ring patterns, make your selection, and then save your changes. (PLEASE NOTE: Ring Pattern changes may take 24 - 48 hours to take effect.)

Back to TopYou can add or remove mailboxes by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount and using the Add or Delete mailboxes functions.
Back to TopWith multiple mailboxes the Base Mailbox Introductory Greeting is only active if you are not using the Distinctive Ring service or if you turn off the Distinctive Ring feature. In that case, the Base Mailbox Introductory Greeting will be played when the phone is unanswered so callers can select a mailbox for their message. If you do not wish to record a personalized Introductory Greeting for your Base Mailbox, you can use the message that comes prerecorded with your Multiple Voice Mailboxes. If callers hear your base mailbox greeting and do not press an option to be connected with a personal mailbox, they may leave a message in your base mailbox. Many people choose to activate text notification on their base mailbox to alert them of any unexpected messages that might be left here.
Back to TopUnanswered calls from both your home phone and wireless phone go to one voice mailbox. You must be a Cincinnati Bell Wireless subscriber to enjoy this service.
Back to TopYou are eligible to have Combined Home and Wireless Voicemail if you are a Cincinnati Bell customer who has both wireline and wireless service. You must either associate both accounts with your Cincinnati Bell My Account or receive a combined bill for both accounts. (To associate additional accounts with your Cincinnati Bell My Account, log into you're My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount, go to "My Profile" and select "Manage Associated Accounts", and then select "Associate another account".)

Back to TopTo "un-combine" your home and wireless voicemail boxes, simply access the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount, click on the "Setup" button for the mailbox you want to "un-combine" and choose "Do Not Share" from the drop down menu in the Combined Voicemail section.
Back to TopYou can instruct callers to your home phone to press "0" while listening to your mailbox greeting to have their call transferred directly to your wireless phone (or any other local number that you designate). You have the choice of making this available to anyone who calls you by including the instructions in your mailbox greeting message or keeping it private by only telling close friends and family.
Back to TopYou can quickly and easily set up your Zero Transfer option by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount. Click on the "Setup" button for each mailbox for which you wish to add Zero Transfer, add the local telephone number under the Zero Transfer section, and then save your changes.
Back to TopRemoving your Zero Transfer is just as easy. You can do this by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount. Click on the "Setup" button for each mailbox for which you wish to remove Zero Transfer, delete the telephone number under the Zero Transfer section, and then save your changes.
Back to TopNot if you have Unlimited Everyday Calling from Cincinnati Bell, a rate plan that allows you to talk to anyone using a Cincinnati Bell phone number for free. For other Cincinnati Bell rate plans, or if you have a different provider for your mobile phone service, then your normal charges would apply.
Back to TopWhen you enable text notification on a voicemail box, you specify a local wireless phone number at which you would like to receive a Text Notification whenever someone leaves you a voicemail in your home mailbox. The Text Notification will include the name and number of the person leaving the message. (Name and number will reflect the equivalent of what is available through Caller ID.)

Click on the "Setup" button for each mailbox for which you wish to remove Text Notification, delete the telephone number under the Text Notification section, and then save your changes.

Back to TopYou can view your mailbox password by accessing the "Manage My Voicemail" link within your Cincinnati Bell My Account at www.cincinnatibell.com/myaccount. Click on the "Setup" button for the mailbox for which you wish to view your password. Click the "Save and Continue" button at the bottom of the "Setup" page. The current password for this mailbox is included in the instructions to record your greeting.
Back to TopWhen you have multiple mailboxes, your 10-digit telephone number along with the unique mailbox password is how the voicemail system distinguishes one mailbox from the other.
